What does TPI mean?
Thixotropic material has the advantage of allowing you to cast with low porosity, tight tolerance, and low energy consumption. The thixotropic properties of the Magnesium are getting achieved by the rotation of the screw which is shearing and kneading the magnesium alloy at low temperatures. The screw is shaping the solid particles in the slurry globular. As a result, the pre-frozen material is still showing a low viscosity.
